Reduce heat and air conditioning with the use of nature and limited space. Turn the heat off if you are not very cold. If you can only heat one room spend more time there, same with air conditioning. Cover windows to keep out sun or cold, insulated drapes help. You can cover windows in plastic to keep down drafts. Weather strip doors and add insulation in electric outlets to make them more airtight. If you are cold think before turning on heat. Will a sweater, robe, slippers, throw, electric blanket reduce the need for heat?
Use electricity somewhere that isn’t home. Charge phone at work or while driving your car. Shower at the gym, while at the gym work out so you are warmer, sauna, hot tub, steam room are time you aren’t home using heat. Go to work and work overtime if you can. I would work, go to the gym, go play pool at the cabana then get home at about 10PM to sleep, wake up to go to work again so didn’t need hardly any heat, also lost weight, got stronger and met people.
Use lights only as needed but switch out bulbs for LED when you can. Some don’t make sense like a closet light used 5 minutes a day but lamp and room lights can save a fortune. Computers and other things should be turned off when not needed. Christmas lights need to be LED and on timer.

Electric heat is a huge use of electricity, hot water is also. Alone you don’t need a huge tank of hot water like if you had a big family showering, turn the heat down on the water heater. No more than 130 degrees. If you are going on vacation turn it off. Wash laundry in cold water.
